Road closure, Caistor Lane, 4th June​​​​​

Norfolk County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order affecting Caistor Lane from its junction with High Ash Lane for 100m westwards. The Road will be temporarily closed (except for pedestrian access) for the duration of the works/period the closure is necessary which is anticipated to be between 09:30 and 15:30 on 4th June 2025.

Norfolk Nature Recovery Consultation

The Norfolk & Suffolk Nature Recovery Partnership is inviting the public to take part in a consultation identifying habitats and landscape worth protecting in order to inform a Local Nature Recovery Strategy. This approach aims to restore and protecting landscapes in Norfolk and Suffolk and serves as an evidence base. The two strategies have been created to help plan WHAT, WHERE and HOW we can all take action for nature across the region. Share your feedback to help recover and enhance Norfolk’s diverse landscape, wildlife and habitats.

Deadline for this consultation is the 11th June 2025.

Wellbeing Services Directory - Feel Good Norfolk

Feel Good Norfolk, is a not-for-profit wellness organisation. They have recently launched a FREE easy-access user-friendly 'Wellbeing' directory, with a wide variety of services and products to promote better health and feeling good.  All of the wellness businesses listed are from Norfolk and fully accredited and insured.  The directory is part of their mission to make Norfolk the UK's wellness capital.

Poringland Wood - unauthorised bike trails

July 2024

South Norfolk Council are concerned with the continued digging and building of unauthorised trails in Poringland Wood. These trails are causing damage to the woodland and can present a hazard to users. South Norfolk Council removed these structures today and ask that the digging and building of unauthorised trails stops immediately.

 

Users of the woodland may contact them via communityassets@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk if they see any particularly dangerous or damaging activity, to enable them to act swiftly to keep people safe and protect the woodland. They thank you for your co-operation.
